Unlike other fantasy worlds, there are no demons here, except for the ones of human nature.
The Saga unfolds at the time when the world was still young and people of different races lived on the vast hills and mountains of our beloved earth.
The first era ended three hundred years prior to the Daughter of Flames Chronicles and lasted nine hundred years. Before even the first age, at the very beginning of Life, people were kin to animals. They hunted for food and knew nothing else. It was only thousands of years later that people became aware that there was more to life than mere survival and so began the first era.
This new beginning was marked not only by a sudden awareness and sense of creativity, but also by the discovery of magic. Learning its secrets became key and few were able to tap into its power. At the peak of this age came the famous Magi. Born to power, they aspired to bring forth a golden age where the world would finally find peace.
But the world was never ready and time washed away their bones as all things that come to pass. In the second era, people remembered these Magi as the Old Prophets because they had made a number of prophecies, a number of which had come to pass. So people remembered them as foretellers or oracles. But their greatest achievement was the seven powerful magical artifacts. One of whose power was so terrible, they dared not create it.
These objects were to bring about a utopian era. But the world grew corrupt. People’s thirst for power brought chaos upon the land and the Magi were attacked. The very people they had created these objects for were turning against them! The people did not care that these objects could be used collectively to create an otherwise impossible utopia. They only cared about their ability to rule others with these magical tools.
Seeing their time was soon over, the Magi decided to hide their magical creations in secure places instead of destroying them. Thus temples, guarded by creatures of power and magical spells, were created by the Magi to ensure that these objects would be safe. The Magi hoped that the world would one day grow wise enough to be ready for such gifts.
The second era began when a man decided to bring order to the tribal chaotic wars. He gathered followers and formed The Dragon Empire. He promised peace and prosperity to his people and fulfilled that promise. It had been a dark time for the world. When the last of the Magi died, the world became chaos. People stole and killed for whatever reason they pleased. The Dragon Empire brought forth a new order, its order.
At first, things began to change for the better. As the Empire thrived, it brought stability to the land. Then one day people realized their methods were wrong. The Empire ruled with an iron fist, bringing order by imposing fear on its people. To speak against the Empire meant death. Power seeking warlords were ecstatic to help conquer more lands to reaffirm the order of the Dragon Empire.
Then an old blind lady prophesied the end of the Dragon Empire and her prophecy cost her her life.
